About the EB-5 Visa
The Immigrant Investor visa allows foreign nationals to obtain their legal residence in the United States through an investment of capital. The investor, the spouse, and minor children will all obtain their legal residency in the United States.
Basic Requirements

For areas with high unemployment the investment must be greater than $800,000 USD

For all other areas, the investment must be greater than $1,050,000 USD

The investment must create at least 10 jobs for U.S. workers
Comparison with the E-2 Visa

EB-5 visas are immigrant visas which provide a path to U.S. citizenship

E-2 visas are only available to citizens of treaty countries (like Colombia)

E-2 visas require a lower investment amount
